MODIFICATIONS, CONVERSIONS, HISTORY
I'm a Materials Engineer at Ford Motor Company, interested in nearly everything mechanical. I'm also a foodie, I can't travel enough and good bourbon with a fine cigar always makes me smile. I'm in my element when tinkering but also when I'm either in, on or near the water. I've owned 41 vehicles, but have found that sporting LBC's have always provided the most enjoyable memories - notebly, a 63 TR4, 65 TR4A, 67 E-type, 71 TR6 and 73 Europa - now my 4th Triumph, a 1972 GT6. It just looks, sounds and smells right, somehow familiar like an old lost friend. GT6's are classic British GTs which also don't require an investment so high owners are afraid to drive them. It's been a while since I've been this passionate about a car - it's been a great experience already.

When I bought the car, it had an orange (corduroy, vinyl and shag carpeting) interior, vague steering, loose exhaust and gold painted disc rims with mudflaps all aound, but was relatively rust free and a strong runner. I have since redone the interior with black Bridge of Weir (Aston Martin) leather, replaced all suspension bushings/bearings/ trunnions, lowered the front with 480# springs/ Gaz height & firmness adjustable shocks/low profile rod ends (minimize bump steer), installed a Pacesetter header/Monza (Magnaflow) exhaust and converted to wire wheels. Most recent, a D-type O/D. I still want to replace my uprights and sort a couple electrical issues before prepping for a BRG respray. I am going classic/old school, good driver, in my restoration.
