MODIFICATIONS, CONVERSIONS, HISTORY
Spent its early life in Washington State. Last licensed there in 1983. Fortunately it was dry stored and dry driven so that when I got it there was no rust anywhere except under the battery. Otherwise, it was completely clapped out. The engine was running on 2 cylinders (bad valves), no brakes (all rubber bits were goo!) someone had messed up the electrics, the suspension was mostly seized, no exhaust, carpets decomposed ... I stripped it completely down and had the body sections stripped and refinished. I rebuilt the engine, salvaged and restored everything that I could mechanically and cosmetically and replaced the rest. I kept everything as original as I could. I've had it on a few longish trips but otherwise use it for summer toodling and British car club events. I also have a 1961 Austin Mini 850.
