MODIFICATIONS, CONVERSIONS, HISTORY
Currently building engine with ported head, lightened rods, cam, etc.
Head ported and polished, 5 angle valve job, bronze guides, modified valves, milled for 9.75:1 CR
Engine was supposedly rebuilt about 20k miles ago, but slight knocking, broken ring, and sloppy wrist pin clearances tell a different story, not to mention a plethora of leaks. By the looks of the internal of block, at sometime in a previous life a rod let go. Damage not too bad and a little work with rotary stone cleaned it up.
4 speed tranny clashed gears indicating possible synchro problems. Currenty being replaced by trans with J type OD

Avg Fuel Mileage with rebuilt engine, OD, 3.89 Rear, HIF SU Carbs with premium gas - Dist Adv ~ 12deg BTDC - 32 - 34 MPG
