MODIFICATIONS, CONVERSIONS, HISTORY
1966 Triumph 2000 Mk1 with factory Borg-Warner Type 35 automatic transmission.
Bought for the family after my wife had our 1st baby because my Spitfire is a 2-seater therefore no room for baby! But I have not been able to keep this car running like I can my 1970's Triumph Spitfires. Then we had a 2nd child so I had less time for work on my Triumphs. Later when the 2nd child was 2 1/2, my wife had an accident, was injured, so my Triumph time was zero for a long while while she recovers. Now she is doing better, but things won't be "normal" for a long time.
So I'm willing to sell this 2000 to someone who can restore it like it needs to be. Offer at least $4000 US or more.
Improvements are: triple-core radiator, extra electric fan on radiator, electric fuel pump, NOS amber front turn lenses (original US spec was white), NOS left door lock, NOS ignition switch (not installed), NOS trunk lock (not installed), NOS license plate light lens.
The lenses and locks came from Mick Dolphin Triumph Spares in the UK.
More pictures on my personal website linked here.
I am also webmaster for my local British car club in Pensacola, Florida, USA, located in northwest Florida.
