“Clarissa” (as every car should have a name it makes them more like family)
This vehicle is practicly original, the only modifications made have been the addition of an A type overdrive gearbox and a PI diff. The interior is pristine, there is plastic from the factory on 3 of the 4 door trims. Its been in the Avis Family twice, once in the 90’s, and then re-purchased in 2000. I have since bought it from my brother in 2001.
The original owner bought it new, sold it to his brother-in-law, who owned it for a couple of years and then died. His wife kept it in a garage for years and years as a memento to her past husband. Dad bought it from her, drove it for a year, then garaged it at my Nans place.
Then it was sold to Simon Gall. He went overseas, got married, had a baby, and we found an ad in the paper for it, so we bought it back into the family.
Its waiting for a new paint job, mkII swing arms, new suspension, springs, rubber and noleathane, shockies, brakes reconditioned, some general TLC and a rego sticker.
