Built 1998 by Paris Performance in Melbourne for Ken Stockton for Targa Tas. 1999 and then Winton 6 hour 2000 and Tour De Course before into storage. Acquired by Webbs 2002, extensive 18mnth total rebuild in their Fueltech workshop, race heads, cam, intakes, improved cooling, big brakes, Spax adjust suspension new Kazz LSD. Entered Rally Burnie 2004, Rally Tas 05, Mt Buller 06, Rally Tas 06 during which continued development of the car, then body resprayed & engine freshened for Targa Tas. 2007. Ran conservatively in top 20 without incident and more than capable of upping the pace in subsequent events. After Targa a major engine rebuild to 4 bolt mains Rover, new race heads, big valves, new intake system, bigger throttle body, new electrics and computer, new fuel tank and cooler, exhaust change, suspension to Bilstein coil-overs, adjust roll centre watts link rear. Ran 2008 Classic Adelaide, 1st DNF with a rear link fail while running comfortably top 30 – repaired and strengthened and then went on to win 2009 MSCA (Vic) over 3.5 litre Super Sprint series (against Porsches, GT40s, Corvettes, TR8s, etc.), then member of 2009 AROCA Winton 6hr winning team. Car has a long competition history attests to quality of build, preparation and maintenance. Still a very competitive car, 203Kw at wheels and 1080Kg with big torque means it’ll embarrass most WRXs and EVOs! Car remains in its Rally livery (vinyl check flag rear) and remains immaculate – owners continue to enjoy this delightful car for Sunday drives, Hill climbs and Super Sprints when the need for speed dictates!!
