nutter….
dunno Glen, my thoughts on spares are they should be enough to get you home in a pinch.
so anything that isn’t essential to making the car actually go is kept at home !
pretty thorough list. maybe some fuses ? WD40 ?
ductile wire is also handy and a steel rope/wrecking bar for pulling/prising the front panel off the radiator after the shunt ?
sounds like you will be providing the spares for everyone else on the run. Good luck, hope the weather is good and you get lots of pics

MultigripsJuly 24, 2015 at 12:22 am #43998britishcarfreakKeymasterI’ve had a thought.
Why not just commision a support vehicle to ride behind me?
July 24, 2015 at 12:22 am #43999GlenCMemberI drive my car daily and the spares in my boot comprise…
1 2l bottle of water.
1 spare wheel.
1 jack.
1 wheelbrace.
1 old towel.I used to carry piles of tools and bits like fan belts, but it was all getting knocked around or rattling about, and I never used one piece of it apart from the water, so I had a major purge. I guess if i go on a long trip I’ll stock up a bit, but nothing like your list Glen.
When we had the PI, the ‘essentials’ included an old beach towel and 5l of water. If the fuel pump cavitated, I’d wrap the towel around it and soak it in cold water until the cavitation stopped, then she’d be right to go again.
Cheers, Glen.
