Weber DGV carb, Allison (Crane) ignition, owned since 1981 when I was 16 in high school, restored in 1999 and driven to many car shows since, pictures of restoration and other Triumph projects on my website.
Been driving my Spitfire and my Triumph 2000 to work all this week for the official British Car Week in the USA. I like the looks of some people as they go by, the look of “What is that?”.
I drove this Spitfire up to the racetrack Road Atlanta in 2012 for the Mitty weekend and Spitfire anniversary gathering. I saw more Triumphs there than anywhere else in my life. We have about 97 Triumphs on the parade laps and many more around the track infield. I met Kas Kastner and Mike Cook. I also had Mr.Cook sign my copy of his book, “Triumph Cars in America”.
I am also webmaster for my local British car club in Pensacola, Florida, USA, located in northwest Florida. Triumphs won all top three awards at our Pensacola All-British Car Show in April 2008!
